I'm currently studying Scott Riddleys Blade Runner and in the film there is a re occurring motif of eyes. The notion of eyes being the window to our soul came up in a assignment. Long story short i needed to analyse a image that represented a theme of the film and explain what i though it meant. since you are asking for interpretations i thought id add mine.
The following image depicts an eye releasing its soul out to the world. The blue eye looking up into the heavens releasing its doves represents the soul being released to the heavens. The soul is leaving through the eye perhaps because it is considered to be the window to the soul by many. The blue mist perhaps could be everything the eye has witnessed being released all at once with the soul. This connection between the eye and the soul could mean that the soul is created or changed through the experiences it witnesses through its “window” and when a person dies so too does his or her experiences. The significance of the blue perhaps could represent clarity, peace or enlightenment especially when coupled with the graceful doves.
