To me
tea tastes timeless,
like lingering hope;
taste telling stories
of times long past,
forgotten memories brought back,
mirrored in black
English Breakfast Tea.
An older piece. I love tea of all sorts :) (I drink like, a minimum of 2 cups of tea every day^^)

One should always appreciate the little things, such as a nice cup of tea (now I have to go and make some tea). I love it!

Okay now I have to go on this with a full fledged and well equipped critique :D Just to tease you :meow:

lol it is simple, I like it and especially the fact that you were able to portray what many are unable to. That is all since anything more might be considered a critique ;)

Oh and if you get time, you can look at my latest deviation. I think you might like it

Thank you^^

I already looked at it, I think it's great! I'll write a nice long comment when I have time ;)

Ah I will wait for it :aww: and my future works will undoubtedly be better :D

I just got some "revelation" :meditate:

And by what I said and you pointed out, I meant that not everyone can handle simplicity and portray things as they are. Like you expressed tea time in a way that it felt natural to me that you feel that way or it felt as if you were telling the truth rather than making things up.

I think so too, yay for improvement :dummy:

Ooh, interesting :meditation:

I see, thank you! Almost all of my poems are a result of something I have experienced myself (like "Untitled"), something I feel like (like "Roundabout" or "That Thing with Feathers"), something I observed and drew my conclusions from (like "Ambitions"), or simply formed from somthing that instantly inspired me to write (like "Jellyverse"). I always write because the words suddenly come to me out of a rush of inspiration, or because I finally found the words I was looking for to express something in particular. So there's always some kind of "truth" in my poems, because I write about something that is true to myself. Well, excluding "Jellyverse", that one is simply... my vivid imagination running rampart.

Ah I see  by the way Mr. Ohm was the Emoticon I should have used but then again Ohm reminds me of Resistance!

On wards... Ah so that is how you write? My works are more based on titles. Titles or snippets hit me and I write on that. Like "A quills Lament" "waiting for her to come this way" "A tale untold" (to be posted soon :P )"Sweet Bough of Autumn leaves" (have to work on that) and many others :D I feel like I am missing a work or two of yours from the list :sherlock: My latest work which won't come online is also similar and it... I shall myself say, is good.

And I like Jellyverse :D -gasp- we should also have a Muffinverse!

That's also a nice approach! "A tale untold" sounds interesting, I'll look out for that one :) That could be^^ If you say yourself that it's good, then why won't it come online?

Aw yeah, a Muffinverse!

While this is old, I am not posting "A tale untold" for two reasons... one... if I post it, it won't remain a tale untold... :| and secondly, I cannot seem to complete it! I am running out of rhymes :XD: lol but I can send you a stanza or two as a note if you would like.

Oh no, "a tale untold" will definitely be good in my opinion but it is another work that I was talking about which won't make it on dA. And i just don't know :aww: most of my "accomplished works" are off dA till now and that work sits on top. Do keep in mind that I am giving my perspective and it might not be good at all in general view. That I am adding this because people in general consider calling ones own work "good in my opinion" as boasting.

IF you want I can give you the title in a note although that won't say much about the work :XD:

So you making one? :D not BAKING, like sketching one? :meow:

Oh, I didn't mean "A tale untold", I meant the other one you mentioned at the end^^ Hm, you're right with that. On the other hand, I do think you can be proud of your work, I didn't see one so far that was "bad". Also, noone is perfect, and everyone is entitled to make mistakes :aww: But I get what you mean, I'm often hesitant about adding something here, too.

Only if you want :)

Hadn't thought of baking one, though that's kind of a neat idea, too :D Hmmm, I'm not sure, maybe... :)

What a sweet poem. Even though I don't like tea(!) I can understand how it can evoke memories, etc. I guess because so many good conversations can be held over a cup of tea.

I really like how the last words of the first and the last lines rhyme - it adds a great feeling of completeness.

I'm glad you noticed; that rhyme was intended to create just that sense of completeness :)

Hehe, I like your way of thinking!

When I'm at work, I prefer water. When I visit coffee shops, I'll drink hot chocolate, but usually never tea or coffee. I went through a latte phase in my second year at uni, but since then have really gone off the taste/smell of coffee. :O

I like hot chocolate, but I have a condition where I can't eat that much sugar, so I don't drink it that often.
Coffee has become kind of a neccessity since I started uni :P

It sometimes is, but I've adjusted pretty well since I noticed I got it. It certainly explains my hate for apples and pears, since those are the fruit with the highest fructose level (the sugar my body doesn't tolerate that well is fructose, which is in normal sugar as well) :)

I love this. It's quite simplistic but you successfully gathered what "tea time" is in a few short lines. You wrote something meaningful that makes your fellow tea drinking reader fall back on memories they may not often consider. Thank you for a beautiful piece.
